THANK YOU to everyone who attended our first PTIO meeting of the year last Friday! We had a great turnout and got an update from our Principal Mrs. Grimes, information about our upcoming Read-a-thon, as well as presentation on the PTIO’s budget plans for the year. Everyone who logged on was entered into a drawing for a $10 Starbucks gift card for attending–congratulations to our winner Angie B.! (STAY TUNED-We’re working on getting the recorded meeting uploaded so everyone can view it, even if you weren’t able to log on while it was happening.)

Our next PTIO meeting will be held virtually on November 13, 2020 at 8:45am-an email will be sent prior to the meeting with details on how to join. We hope to see you there–maybe YOU will be our next drawing winner!

Everything IS awesome now that the SRE Lego Read-a-thon is here! It’s true, your children won’t be able to LEGO of their books, it’s time for the MUSTANG READ-A-THON! Every mustang will get their chance to read their way to fun prizes while raising money for SRE. To make the Mustang Read-a-thon way less painful than stepping on a LEGO, we are using 99Pledges this year to streamline our fundraising.  Each student has their own personalized webpage to track fundraising and share with friends and relatives (credit cards or PayPal can be used to donate)! Our goal this year for the Mustang Read-a-thon is to raise $30,000 or about $80 per student. Students who raise $50 will get a limited edition SRE neck gaiter, since we can’t LEGO of our masks this year.  Those who go above and beyond to raise $80 will also earn a very cool (and very soft!) Mustang LEGO Read-a-thon t-shirt.  To start building the excitement, each student will receive a LEGO keychain when their teacher sees they have read their first hour.
