The Saddle Ranch Elementary PTIO is YOUR organization

PTIO September Meeting Highlights:

Greetings from Your PTIO!
Our recent PTIO meeting was filled with updates and opportunities for everyone to get involved and share feedback on how things are going. Thank you so much to all who attended the PTIO monthly meeting this week. You can always find all the notes and agendas in an ongoing Google doc HERE or linked on the PTIO calendar dates for an upcoming meeting. Here’s what you need to know:

Upcoming Meeting Reschedule
The PTIO typically meets on the 2nd Monday of each month, but due to Fall Break, our next meeting will be held on October 7. Mark your calendars!

School Updates

  • Enrollment: Our projected enrollment is slightly below expectations, but we’re operating under a hold harmless provision. (FYI. More information related to enrollment, test scores and the planned closure of schools in Highlands Ranch was shared at the SAC meeting which was held immediately following the PTIO meeting.)
  • New Initiatives: This year, we’re introducing “Herds” – small student groups paired with different staff members to build community and connections. They will meet monthly.

Financial Overview

  • Current Balance: $17,551
  • Movie Night Success: We made a $500 profit!
  • Grant Requests: STEM curriculum support was requested and were approved, including items like clipboards and Lego sets! Thank you for your donations!

Volunteer Opportunities
many parents and staff members have volunteered so we have not had to cancel any events, however, we are still in need of volunteers for various roles:

  • Stock the Lounge: January – Volunteer from 5th Grade
  • Community Events, Sponsorship & Spring Auction: Several slots available.
  • All PTIO board positions in ’25-26 school year

Mustang Stampede
PTIO has increased the fundraising goal for the Mustang Stampede on October 4 – hoping to make this our BIGGEST fundraiser for the year instead of the Spring Auction.
The volunteer committee will meet soon to organize the event and select student prizes. But, the fundraising platform for the event will be refreshed very soon! SO, get ready to email family, friends and local businesses to sponsor your student in this fun run!

  • Veterans Day: SRE staff are organizing a flag ceremony on Nov 11 to honor veterans. More information coming soon!
  • In N Out Burger Night is set for October 28, raising significant funds in the past. Freddy’s night will be rescheduled to Spring.
  • Main Event Spirit Night: is set for Nov. 21 bringing the students together once a month to build community.

7. New Business
ThunderRidge DECA is interested in hosting a movie night for our students. Details to follow.
