Our supply drive was a massive success — our teachers are well-stocked and are off to an excellent start for the year. Congratulations to Mrs. Murray’s class and Mrs. Papastathis’ classes for winning popcorn parties!
The Mustang Stampede is coming up, and we’re looking for sponsors! The Mustang Stampede is an in-school event that promotes healthy living and serves as one of our two major fundraisers for the year. Students take pledges and stampede through the school as fast as they can for a set amount of time, raising money for academic resources and enrichment opportunities. Yes, that’s right — running in the halls isn’t only allowed, but encouraged during the Stampede!
This year’s Stampede will take place on October 1st. Our goal is to raise $30,000. The fundraiser is run entirely by the PTIO, with no outside vendors taking a cut of the funds we raise. While we don’t pay outside vendors, we do have some costs for incentives, supplies, and credit card processing for online donations. To help minimize these costs and maximize the funds that we raise for SRE, this year we’re providing a limited number of business sponsorship opportunities at the $100, $250, and $500 level.
